Minecraft Enters Beta, Celebrations Are In Order

The indie game phenomenon known as Minecraft has entered its beta. Due to this, the pre-purchase cost of the game raised to a hefty €14.95, which is about nineteen bucks and some change stateside. Once the game is completed and released officially it will retail for €20, and quite possibly go on sale through Steam in about a month (or so we hope).

Reports from the sales end of Minecraft showed that this past weekend the game reachech over 800,00 units sold and it is steadily reaching 850,000 while you’re reading this. At this rate, the game could reach the one million-sold mark before it even officially releases.
