Mortal Kombat Fatalities Are Specific To Certain Stores
Warner Brothers Interactive just announced that some character fatalities will be specific to pre-orders made at certain stores. Scorpion’s original fatality will be available to those who pre-order Mortal Kombat at GameStop, Sub-Zero’s original will be through Best Buy, and Reptile’s original will be held through Amazon.
The Mortal Kombat series is widely known for it’s brutal “fatality” endings to its matches. We’re sure that all characters in the upcoming game will have plenty of new fatalities at their disposal, but the ones up for discussion are merely extras.
Now while this is an odd sort of deal, this really puts players in a bind. I am severely partial to Subzero, yet I won’t pre-order my games anywhere but GameStop, so I am kind of at an impasse here. We’ve sent word out to Warner Brothers to see if these “exclusive” fatalities will be available for download at some point, and as soon as we know we will cover it.
