The next installment in the Mortal Kombat series will feature the God of War himself, Kratos. He will be a playable character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat game. Of course, he will be a PS3 exclusive.
The official announcement of this exclusive will be in the January issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine, which hits shelves later this week. The article confirms his addition to the game, but it denies his playability in story mode.
This is great news for Mortal Kombat fans and PS3 owners alike, but it doesn’t take much thinking to wonder if an Xbox 260 exclusive character will make it into the game as well. We remember Soul Calibur 4, which had Darth Vader for PS3 and Yoda for Xbox 360. As soon as we hear word on this, we will be sure to follow it.
Mortal Kombat will hit shelves for both consoles in Spring 2011.
