Tranquility and Minecraft don’t really go hand-in-hand. Actually, when I am playing Minecraft I feel an elevated heart rate, and mostly just panic. The official soundtrack to the game, arranged and created by C418, aka Daniel Rosenfeld.
The soundtrack was released last Friday for the game, and you can get your copy here for $4 at the least. The price covers the 22 tracks you receive, as well as a sweet hi-res shot of the cover art which you see above.
The music in Minecraft can be a bit joyful at times, but it can also be very frightening. C418 did a great job with arranging the tunes to set the perfect mood for which they stand. The soundtrack is perfect for ambient music, or background music while you’re working or performing other tasks.
Daniel Rosenfeld isn’t swimming in cash from this sale. He is simply happy, which is something all the money in the world wouldn’t buy. Well, at least not for long. He says that since the success of Minecraft he has been able to stop making music part-time, and start making it full-time, which is what he loves to do.
Rosenfeld also provided the game’s sound effects, so when you’re hammering away at that tree with your fist, just remember, he made that.
