PlayStation Plus Members Receive Online Game Save Storage

As of today, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to save their games to the “cloud,” which is an online service used for storage. Players will get 150MB of file storage to save up to 1000 files. Even copy-prohibited files can be saved in the cloud, with the exception that players restore files that have been deleted from their systems once every 24 hours.

Future titles will offer a feature allowing them to be saved directly to the PlayStation Network, which will bypass your hard drive all together. The new firmware will be pushed to systems today, including this update. Get ready for some long download time, but don’t worry, it’ll be worth it.
