Sony Takes MotorStorm Apocalypse Down From UK Release

MotorStorm Apocalypse was first delayed out in New Zealand because of the earthquake that rocked the country. Then it was delayed in Japan for the same reason. Now the game has been pulled in the UK as well, for the same disclosed reasons.

Sony has made the decision to not release the game at this time out of respect for those affected by the recent tragedies.

Sony released a statement that read:

“We are shocked and saddened to see the impact of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and our thoughts are with all those affected, including our colleagues within the Sony family, living and working throughout Japan. We are very conscious of the parallels between these events and the underlying theme in MotorStorm and are doing everything we can to be as sensitive as possible to the situation. Although the game itself is already in distribution, we are ceasing any further shipments and removing as much of the marketing as possible.”

The game will make it back to store shelves eventually, however we don’t have a solid date on when. Sony is at least trying to be compassionate about the disasters that have happened, but what do you think?
