Halo: Reach is set to get yet another map pack, this time filled with maps that were not constructed by Bungie. The Defiant Map Pack is set to release on March 15th, and it will contain three new maps. With the new pack, Bungie is making the final preparations to say goodbye to their child, and focus on their new project, whatever that may be. 343 Industries, along with Certain Affinity, have put a lot of work into the new DLC pack, hoping to give fans what they continue to want.
The new maps, in detail, are as follows:
- Unearthed is a new Firefight map filled heavily with vehicles. The map features a multi-tiered UNSC base surrounded by a long, winding dirt road. Players will need to make use of the rocket-hog fast in order to ensure high scores as well as survival.
- Condemned is a classic 4v4 Team Slayer and Free-For-All focused map that is set on an orbiting UNSC space station. Players will fight for their lives as a UNSC and Covenant cruiser struggle to take control of the station in the background.
- Last up is Highlands, set on Reach’s Wilderness Training reserve. Highlands is a fairly large map with dual bases, each one with a different layout that will provide for strategic implementations of squad combat.
The Defiant Map Pack will set player back 1200 MS Points. For more information on the set of maps, head over to the post here.
