Sucker Punch Extends inFAMOUS 2 Beta Due To PSN Outage

Pictured above is a shot of the Tweet from Sucker Punch Studios, the developer behind inFAMOUS, and it’s upcoming sequel. The beta for inFAMOUS 2 started a few weeks back to let players take a crack at creating brand new missions from scratch to send our hero Cole through. The PlayStation Network has been down for almost a week now due to the “external intrusion” they had, so this hindered players from getting into the beta.

In light of this situation, Sucker Punch has decided to extend the beta in order to allow players more time to play around. This will allow players to catch up, finish creating missions they’ve started, and get the full feel of using the tools at their disposal. It’s great that Sucker Punch has made this decision, as many fans are upset over the network outage.

The company hasn’t announced whether this will push the game back or not, so we assume that it is still set to release on June 7th. There also has been no word on how long the beta will be extended for, as you can see above. As soon as more information is given, we will be sure to update as needed.
