Assassin’s Creed Revelations Will Star Ezio And Altair

Last week players everywhere found out that Assassin’s Creed Revelations was indeed real. The June issue of Game Informer should be arriving to subscribers’ mailboxes now, packed with new details on the upcoming sequel. The issue mentions that players not only will play as Altair from the first game, but they will play as Ezio as well in a world where they both come together.

The new game will be the final installment in the Ezio trilogy, following the hero as he tracks down five selas that allow him to obtain an important artifact in Masyaf. Each seal originally belonged to Altair, and when Ezio picks one up he relives Altair’s memories just like Desmond relives moments through the Animus.

The story is a bit confusing, however. Desmond lies in a coma, but he’s hooked up to the Animus as the game begins. He needs to fight his way through “the black room,” which is an Animus world crafted together by fragments of his shattered mind, and “the futuristic architecture of the Animus” to find a certain memory where he collides with Ezio and Altair.

The game looks like it will be a lot of fun, and a lot of answers about the story will be delivered. For the full set of details on the game, head to IGN’s post here. If you don’t have a subscription to Game Informer, I highly suggest you pick up the latest issue from a friend, or purchase it yourself.
