Buy A New PC, Get A Free Xbox 360

There are a lot of ups and downs about being a student. On the one hand, you have to deal with the stresses of classes and homework (and maintaining a job, depending on your situation). On the flip side, you have summers to yourself, nice breaks between semesters, and companies like to give you discounts for obtaining further education. Microsoft is one such company, and this year they want to hook you up with a free Xbox 360.

Naturally, there is a catch (isn’t there always?). All you have to do is purchase a brand new computer running Windows 7 after May 22, with a price tag of $699 or higher. This means that if you’re going to want a new PC for classes this fall, you just need to make sure that it meets the price guideline.

You will have until September 3rd to make your purchase, though they do warn that there are limited supplies, so it’s best to get in on this early. Once you’ve purchased your system, Microsoft will verify that you are a student, and send out a 4GB Xbox 360. No word on whether or not this will be a slim console, or one of the classics.
