We were taunted with the release of Final Fantasy V in Japan, and once more when it was announced in Europe. Now Square Enix has answered our prayers it seems as the game has been rated for a North American PSN release by the ESRB.
This is the one game in the Final Fantasy series that didn’t make it to the U.S. in its original SNES format. It did, however, reach the states in the Final Fantasy Anthology title, and in the Final Fantasy V Advance port. Now is our chance to enjoy the original format on the PlayStation Network.
This, of course, adds to the Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI announcements we received as of late. There’s plenty for us to get all gamer nostalgic about, and it seems to get better. No date or price has been given, but when the news comes we will be sure to update.
