
THQ has just announced the first set of DLC coming to Homefront, and it will arrive on June 7th. It will include two all-new multiplayer maps, and debut on the Xbox 360 first, as most DLC does.
The company also stated that “this will be the first small taste of anticipated robust updates that will be coming to Homefront.” Kaos Studios, the game’s developer, is adding to this DLC by making the 870 Express Shotgun and a Premium Homefront Theme available for a free download as well.
A new update was just rolled out, and it contains a number of fixes that were desperately needed in the game. The update is available now, and a completely different piece of content, called the “Ability Pack,” will be available as soon as the update is completed. Here’s what to expect:
Ability Pack
– Ice Cold: Invisible on thermal views and airstrike sensors
– Situational Awareness: Enemy gamertag appears when shot
– EMP Tactician: Deal more damage vs EMP’d vehicles
– Short Fuse: Reduced cook time on frag grenades
– Bomb Suit: Take less damage from explosives
Improvements to:
– Assist points for vehicle kills
– Rank Resets
– Game returns to MP menu instead of Main Menu after leaving a match
– Max ping limits for server connections (prevent connections to distant servers)
– Game freeze & hitching
– Joining Friends feature
– Beacon errors
– Party Connectivity; and
– Various other fixes
