Obsidian: Update Coming To Dungeon Siege III For PC

A lot of PC owners out there weren’t too happy with Dungeon Siege III’s control scheme for the mouse and keyboard combination. Out of sheer frustration, most PC users decided to just go with an Xbox 360 controller instead. Of course this severely put off some players’ purchase of the game.

If you’re one of these frustrated gamers, there is hope. Obsidian Entertainment’s Nathaniel Chapman says that the company plans to release an update that will improve the traditional PC controls for the game, making it more accessible while using the keyboard and mouse.

Chapman went on to say that Obsidian had plans to make “a more fleshed out tutorial system and more unique armor variants,” but they just didn’t make it into the title. “It’s always good for sequel or DLC material,” he said, though that sparks a question. Do you think developers cut too much from games in order to get them out by their suggested retail date? Personally, I feel that a game should not be released until everything is completed and polished to a fine point. Don’t you agree? Either way, this new update will be coming soon to the PC version of Dungeon Siege III.
