Robin Confirmed For Arkham City, It’s Not The Robin We’re Used To

Just recently there was some word surfing around that those who pre-oder Batman: Arkham City through Best Buy would receive Robin as a playable character in some of the game’s many challenges. That word has been confirmed as we are greeted with the first image showing us a Robin that we’re not used to, though we like.

It’s almost insulting to call him by his traditional title, “The Boy Wonder.” The Robin we see now is a more introspective, hardened adult that looks to take his sidekick position seriously. I think that I’ll like this new version of Robin, and I can’t wait to see him in action.

The Best Buy-exclusive “Robin Pack” will include two maps, “Black Mask Hideout” and “Freight Train Escape.” There will also be an optional piece of DLC that will give Robin a red costume, making him lean aesthetically more towards the sidekick we all recognize. Batman: Arkham City is set to release on October 18th, later this year.
