Xbox 360 Version Of Minecraft Being Developed By 4J Studios

We learned at E3 this year that Minecraft would be making its move to the Xbox 360 sometime this winter. Then we found out that Notch, the game’s creator, won’t be working on the project as he will still be involved with the PC version of the game. Now we’ve gotten some information about the 360 version’s new developer, 4J Studios.

For those of you who don’t know, 4J Studios is responsible for the development of the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the Xbox Live Arcade versions of Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark. Minecraft will feature Kinect support, yet we do not know what for at this point.

A lot of players are on the fence about this announcement. A lot of them think the game should stay on the PC, while others feel that the Xbox 360 version of the game would work out fine. I will admit that playing the game with a controller could work out well, though I think pushing the game through Kinect could cause further disappointment. What do you think?
