343 Industries: The New Halo Series Will Be Called The ‘Reclaimer Trilogy’

According to 343 Industries, the new developer of future Halo titles, the new series that will be introduced to fans will be entitled the “Reclaimer Trilogy.” The upcoming Halo 4 is a direct sequel to Halo 3, and it will show heavy focus on Master Chief as a person, soldier, hero, and ultimate brute force. We were informed that the Master Chief shown in this year’s E3 trailer was not the final version (of course, he had jetpacks that he conveniently never used in the other games), and they want to emphasize the fantasy that “Master Chief is an 800-pound hero that is part tank, part jet fighter.”

As fans would know, throughout the Halo series, Guilty Spark referred to Master Chief on many occasions as “The Reclaimer.” This is the reason behind the name of the upcoming trilogy, which will focus on him. Also, Cortana will be playing a much bigger role in Halo 4. The developers want to tell a story about a “unique relationship that hasn’t been addressed in other games.” We all knew it would happen.

The good thing about the announcement is that we know there will be at least three more Halo titles to look forward to. The trilogy will incorporate classic Halo gameplay with the new inclusion of weaponry, abilities, and tactics to provide fans with more of the great gaming they love. All this, while telling a story that needs to be told. Check out the video below of 343 discussing the new game, and tell us what you want to see in the upcoming Reclaimer Trilogy.
