Confirmed: Commander Shepard Will Be Leaving Us After Mass Effect 3
After lots of rumors and heresay, BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will be the end of Commander Shepard’s story. This means that if we see any other Mass Effect titles, it will be time to usher in a new hero/heroine.
In an interview with PC Gamer, BioWare’s Ray Mazyka stated, “After this, Commander Shepard’s story is complete.” There’s no information on just how Shepard will be leaving the series, which leaves the door wide open to speculation. Since we’re dealing with BioWare, I think it’s safe to assume that players will have some role in deciding how the Commander goes out.
This is pretty big news, as is any that deals with saying goodbye to a beloved gaming character. Heck, it stands for any character, living person, or animal for that matter.
