Day One Patches For Dead Island Are Still Awaiting Approval On Console

Though Dead Island is making news among the top pages in the media, it’s not for the reasons you would assume. The game was, for the most part, extremely fun, but it has fallen victim to a list of issues that isn’t exactly small. Deep Silver has noted on the occasion that a patch would be available on Day One for consoles to relieve these issues. It is now Day Two, and there is still no patch.

The PC patch was released, and it caused issues with wiping saves from the hard drive. The patch for consoles is not expected to have this issue, nor is it expected to have any confrontations with the ripper weapon. In the realm of DLC, the Bloodbath Arena pack is still on the way for those who pre-ordered the title, though no date has been given.

So far, I’ve been playing Dead Island on the Xbox 360 and I have been enjoying it. I haven’t really ran into any big issues that have made me stop playing the game, become frustrated, or feel any animosity toward the game. Once the patch does release, I am sure that any issues that have come to the surface will be axed, just like the undead that plague the island of Banoi. That being said, have any of you had issues with the game so far? If so, what problems have you come across?
