A while back there were rumors about suggesting that the Devil May Cry series would be getting an HD remake collection, much like the Metal Gear Solid series as of late. Not too much else was spoken outside of the rumor, and it settled for just a while. Now the subject has surfaced again thanks to the ESRB.
The ratings board has issued their ratings for HD versions of Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening. These remakes are set for release on the PS3 and Xbox 360. All titles have received the “M for Mature” rating.
This is some pretty good news, as fans of the series will be looking forward to seeing the games with updated graphics. It also allows players who missed out on the series for the PS2 a chance to experience the story first-hand. Capcom has yet to make any announcements, but as any surface we will update accordingly. Until then, we ask you, what do you think about these HD remakes of certain series? Is it a good thing, or is it simply pointless?
