Real Life COD Map

Call of Duty Multiplayer maps are often very intricate and meticulously planned and laid out. From Favela to Nuke Town, whatever map you prefer, you can bet that a lot of work went into every aspect of it. So how cool would it be to play paintball on one of those maps?

That’s exactly what Michael McWhertor of Kotaku got to do. He was lucky enough to make it out to Call of Duty XP and run the recreated course. The recreated course is Scrapyard from MW2, and from the looks of it, it’s pretty accurate. There is footage of him in action as well. The video is a sort of first person view of the action. Anyone who has ever run around with a camera attached to them knows he did a pretty good job. In the video he says it is his first time playing paintball. His team won the seven minute match and he was hit around six times by my count (not to shabby of a first time).

I can’t think of a better way to be introduced to paintball, it would definitely add a bit more excitement. All in all, I can only imagine the amount of fun he had playing, let alone being there. So I say hats off to you Mr. McWhertor for not only playing paintball on a map from a video game, but for wining as well.
