Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Will Hit Sometime ‘This Winter’

At this year’s Tokyo Game Show, one of Capcom’s biggest gems in the news right now, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, didn’t rear its head. The title still hasn’t gotten a solid release date yet, and fans are decaying in their shoes. A lot of speculation has hit the industry, and some even think that the game could possibly get delayed.

Fortunately, Capcom issued a statement to Kotaku that specified a closer take on the release date for the title. According to the company, the game will not be slated for “Late 2011” any longer as it’s been changed to this winter. The exact wording was that the game was “definitely locked in for winter.”

In the video game industry, winter technically runs from December 22nd to March 19th. This means that Capcom has a nice period with which to get the game on shelves. This is some good news, and brings us a bit closer to the game that many fans have been looking forward to. What’s your take on this news? Are you ready for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City?
