Battlefield 3 Getting A Valentine’s Day Patch

If you’re looking to spend your Valentine’s day playing Battlefield 3 on PC, then you’ll be happy to know that DICE has a little gift they’re preparing for you. No, you won’t be shooting flower petals at your foes, it’s just a small update for the game, dropping tomorrow at 8am UT.

The updates aren’t huge, by any means, but they do take care of a few client crash issues. Namely in Operation Firestorm and Canals. There will also be performance improvements for anyone using the Radeon 7xxx series cards.

The other interesting tidbit is that they’ve decided to implement support for Intel’s unreleased Ivy Bridge processors. While we don’t have any solid information on the release of these new CPU’s, we can gather from this that it will be sooner than later.
