Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revealed Via Amazon? [Rumor]
French gaming site GameBlog reports that a new entry in the Call of Duty series may have been ousted by the French Amazon.com site. A posting on the site lists Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for all major systems, and it’s posted at 70 Euros. The post has since been pulled from the site, but not before stirring some controversy.
Activision contacted the distributor and asked that they remove the post and Amazon initially declined. Soon after they were informed not to show up at a Transformers: Fall of Cybertron event that they were previously invited to. What gives this post even more credibility is that earlier in the year Activision purchased the domain blackops2.com, and confirmed that a new Call of Duty game would be coming this year.
Of course, since the company hasn’t confirmed any of this, the news still remains a rumor. Right now both Activision and Amazon have been contacted, and like many we are awaiting word. Great job to Gamespot for the heads up!
