Nintendo Announces Prices and Release Date For Wii U

The time has finally come! After months of waiting Nintendo is releasing details of their Wii U console, including its release date and prices. Anybody excited yet?

If you want to get the console on opening day, then mark November 18th down on your calendar, and be prepared to spend up to $350. That’s because there are two versions of the Wii U, the Basic set and the Deluxe set. In the Basic set will sell for $299.99, and comes with the console, the Wii U GamePad, an AC adapter for both the console and GamePad, an HDMI cable, and a Wii U sensor bar. The console itself will have 8 GB’s of memory for downloads and game saves, and comes in white.

The Deluxe set has 32 GB’s of memory, and besides everything in the basic set you also get the GamePad charging cradle and stands for the console and controller. You’re also eligible to earn points for everything you download on the console and you can use those points to purchase things later. We’re not sure exactly what that program entails, but once we learn more we’ll be sure to pass on that information to you! The Deluxe version will be selling for $349.99 and comes in black.
