PlanetSide 2 Releases In November, Adds Livestream Support

Easily considered the biggest shooter of the year, PlanetSide 2 will be releasing next month on November 20th. This epic-scale FPS sees players in a constant fight for resources on war-torn continents. Three factions are fighting for control of bases, structures, and resources in efforts to become the most powerful on the continent.

The PlanetSide 2 closed beta has been running for quite a while, and tons of soldiers have jumped into the fray. Each faction has been fighting hard, not only to reign supreme, but to test out the system and locate as many bugs as possible within the game. The results gathered so far from the beta have been strong enough for Sony Online Entertainment to feel that the game is ready for launch in time for the holiday season.

When the game goes live next month there will be a host of new features added, including livestream support in-game. Additional gear and vehicles will be available, and more continents will be prepped for war. I’ve been enjoying the beta so far, and it’s really been humbling. Never before have I been so encompassed in squad-based gameplay. I’ve come to trust my squad leader, and running ground ops has become a real favorite past time of mine. In fact, I’ve even switched factions because of my squad. I can’t wait for the game to release, and if you’re a fan of shooters this is not something you will want to sit out on.
