Wii Mini Console From Nintendo Leaked

The Wii Mini was leaked on Canada’s Best Buy today, announcing that it would be released on December the 7th — Nintendo later confirmed the leak and released information on its website about the update to the console.

The Wii Mini will only be available in Canada during the holiday season, and does not have any of the online features that its “larger” predecessor does.  Included with the console is one Wii Plus Wiimote, a nunchuck controller, Sensor Bar, Power Adapter, and Standard Composite Cable.  HDMI is not included, though the fact that it is mentioned on the website hints that the console may be compatible.  The Wii Mini is not compatible with any GameCube games.  The design suggests a top-loading console, reminiscent of the PS2, as suggested by the two buttons on two corners of the console–the other presumably being the power button.

As previously mentioned the system will be released on December 7th, with a price tag of $99.99, ironically much more than most Wii systems were going for on the recent retail holiday, Black Friday.
