The nice thing about Humble Bundles is the fact that what you see at the beginning of the sale isn’t all that you get. Instead, what usually happens is that as the sale goes on, additional titles start showing up as an incentive to get people who haven’t yet pulled the trigger to go ahead and do so. Why, just last week Titan Quest and a Red Faction: Armageddon add on were added to the Humble Bundle, and yet another title was added yesterday!
Yes, if pay more than the average for $5.66 (as of the time of the writing) you’ll get Dawn of War on top of everything else that’s been in the Bundle so far. And if you already bought a Bundle earlier, good news: you’ve already got the game yourself! Just visit the link that you got when you ordered a Humble Bundle and you can retrieve your copy of Dawn of War.
If you have no idea what Dawn of War is, it’s set in the Warhammer 40K universe where long story short, everything has gone to crap, and to say that the galaxy is in a perpetual state of war is putting it mildly as the forces of Chaos try to destroy the Imperium of Man, and at the same time Humanity is fighting to destroy aliens for the reason that they’re, well, aliens honestly. In Dawn of War you take control of the Blood Angels Space Marine Chapter, who are genetically engineered and modified super soldiers, as they attempt to break an Ork invasion and save the planet. Of course, everything isn’t as it seems, and it turns out that the forces of Chaos (led by the Chaos Space Marines, who had betrayed the Emperor and Man 10 thousand years ago) are behind the invasion in the first place. It’s an RTS game, so expect lots of resource and squad management. If this sounds like something right up your alley, then why not put down 6 bucks and get it for yourself, along with other awesome games like Saints Row: The Third? Just make sure you act fast, because the Humble Bundle is nearly over!
