Many of you are aware of the problems facing Arma III developers Ivan Buchta and Martin Pezlar. While they were in Greece collecting material for the game they were arrested by the authorities on the charge of espionage. If the two are tried and sentenced, they could face up to 20 years in prison.
Luckily for the two developers, however, they’ve been freed on bail after spending the last 128 days in prison. However, just because they have been released on bail doesn’t mean that they’re out of the woods yet. Indeed, the two of them will need to stay in the country and stand trial, but at least for right now they have a little bit more freedom in the meantime.
Bohemia Interactive’s Ota Vrťátko had this to say about Ivan and Martin making bail:
“It is obviously wonderful news and we’re very happy that Ivan and Martin may finally return home after four months of detainment in Greece. We’re prepared to further help them and their families in any way necessary and we are looking forward to meeting our friends and colleagues Ivan and Martin again soon. It goes without saying that this is a huge relief for Ivan and Martin, their families and all of us at Bohemia Interactive, we send greetings and thanks to everyone that has supported the boys over the past four months.”
