When I say soon, I mean…really soon. It’s looking like this super-charged gaming tablet from Razer will be available for pre-order for either model starting on March 1, 12:01am PT. The base models of the Edge and Edge Pro will start at $999.99, and two additional options will be $1,299.99 and $1,449.99.
We’ve looked at the Razer Edge once before at CES, but for those who forget what kind of innards we’re looking at:
The base model is equipped with an Intel® Core™ i5 processor, NVIDIA GT640M LE GPU, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 64 GB SSD. The Razer Edge Pro comes replete with an upgraded Intel® Core™ i7 processor, NVIDIA GT640M LE GPU, 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 128 GB or 256 GB SSD.
While we still don’t have a solid release date at the moment, it was stated that these would be available in the first quarter of this year. Seeing the pre-order stage is already about to begin, I wouldn’t say the wait will be much longer. If you are thinking of getting one, don’t forget to set some extra moolah aside for all the extra accessories (docking station, extended battery, and gamepad).
