Diablo III Console Release Date Set For September 3rd

For folks who want to hack-and-slash their way through hordes of demons and other possessed beings you’ll be glad to know that Blizzard has set a release date for the console versions of Diablo III. On September 3rd you’ll be able to pick up sometimes controversial (for PC players, anyway) game for the PS3 and Xbox 360. The PS4 version will of course be coming out later, presumably as a launch title for the system.

This is the first time that Blizzard has mentioned thatD3 would be coming to the 360, but it’s not exactly a surprise. After all in March Blizzard let it slip that the game wouldn’t necessarily be a Sony exclusive. With that being said, however, Blizzard has stated that they have no “further platform announcements to share at this time”, meaning that for the time being the game isn’t slated to be released on the Xbox One.

If you pre-order the game you’ll be able to get the Infernal Helm. It’s a wicked looking helm that gives you an exp bonus with smoke coming out, and it’s surrounded by 4 floating soulstone-looking gems. You can pre-order the console version ofDiablo III from Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy.
