Amazon UK PS4, Xbox One Preorders Won’t Arrive Til After Christmas
If you’re living in the UK and you fancy yourself a new PS4 or Xbox One this holiday season but have yet to order one then you might be in some trouble. According to Amazon UK’s PS4 and Xbox One pages both systems may not be delivered to folks until after Christmas. Considering the sheer numbers both consoles are selling at, I can’t say that’s a surprise.
The PS4 page in particular guarentees you won’t get a PS4 in time for Christmas if you’ve ordered it after November 13th. “Customers who pre-ordered this console from August 7 up to and including November 13 will receive their consoles before Christmas. Customers who pre-order this console from November 14 will receive their consoles after Christmas.”
The Xbox One page is slightly more hopeful. Instead of saying that they will be receiving their console after Christmas, it says “Orders placed up to and including August 14 will be dispatched to meet the release date. Orders placed from November 13 may not be delivered before Christmas. ” While there’s been no word yet as to if the American Amazon will have similar warnings, I can’t imagine it being any different. So folks, if you haven’t preordered a brand new console yet then you just might want to try standing in line at your local store and hoping to be lucky enough to get one!
