Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Revealed After Countdown

The countdown is over, and now we get all the answers we’ve wanted. Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition is going to be a suped up version of the game you know and love. It contains over 400 improvements from the original game.

Coming with this face lift are lots of goodies, including a new adventure, characters, and a support for high-res widescreen displays. These new characters are Rasaad yn Bashir (monk), Neera (wild mage), and Dorn Il-Kahn (orc bamf). All of these NPC characters add gameplay time, new areas, or both to your game.

The release date for the game is September 18th, so you don’t have long to save up $19.99. Should you choose to pre-order (PC only), you can save $2, and get the game for $17.99. If you do go that route, you’ll also get a special badge on the Baldur’s gate Forums, and be able to preload before everyone else. This game will be available for PC, iPad, Mac, and Android (release TBA).
