A new trailer from Capcom has been released showing footage from their newly announced Ace Attorney 5 for the 3DS, starring none other than Phoenix Wright. The trailer features shots and characters from the first case mentioned in the previous Famitsu article (involving a courthouse explosion) as well as a large handful of floating Japanese text.
The trailer shows off the 3D models that will also be present in the Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney game coming out in Japan in November, though Phoenix is arguably more dapper in his newest game with his sharp suit and light blue vest. It also features the newest gameplay mechanic, translated roughly to “Heart Scope” which allows players to “pull evidence from testimonies from shifting emotions” during testimony. A little hologram popping out of your new partner’s (who goes by the name of Kidzuki Kokone) glove spots any strong, contradictory emotions in each line of testimony that will allow you to break holes in the witness’ statements.
Ace Attorney has been confirmed for a western release by Capcom, though no date has been set. Expect more news and gameplay in the coming days, as guests at the Tokyo Game Show are helping themselves to a 15-minute demo on the floor. Check out the video below to see the trailer for yourself! The video has been subtitled by Court Records.
