Square Enix Reveals A Final Fantasy VII PC Trailer

A little while back there was some uncovered information that surfaced suggesting that Square Enix was working on a new PC port for Final Fantasy VII. Some domain registries pointed to a site called finalfantasyviipc.com, and details released alongside the registration. We’ve been sitting for a bit on the information, and now it looks like it’s all legitimate. Square has released an official trailer for the new PC version of the game, showing off its new features.

The new PC version will include a character booster which will allow players to boost character’s HP/MP, and a new feature that allows for cloud saves. The information via Google suggested that this PC version will retail at at £7.99 / €9.99 (right around $12.50).

The trailer shows footage from the original game, and lists that it’ll be available soon for download from the Square Enix store. With this re-release we’re all one step closer to having that remake that we’re all wanting. Square has finally hinted at a possible overhaul for the game, saying that once they create a new Final Fantasy title that surpasses FFVII, they could see making a remake of the original game. Either way, if this downloadable PC version stays at the price it’s been suggested at, it’ll be a no-brainer when it releases.
