Diablo III Release Date To Be Released, Well, Soon
As we mentioned earlier this month, news has spread out that Blizzard is planning for a Q2 release date for Diablo III. And if Jay Wilson, the Game Director of Diablo III, is correct, then we should know what day exactly that will be here in the near future.
In a post on Blizzard’s forums, Mr. Wilson goes discusses when they feel confident about setting up a release date. He explains, “We always know a Blizzard game is almost ready when we have to ask members of the team to stop playing so they can get their work done. That’s definitely been the case around here.”
He goes on to say “We think you’re going to love Diablo III when it’s released, and speaking of release plans, you can seriously expect a launch-date announcement from us in the near future. See, I didn’t say “soon,” so I’m not taunting you. ; ) You’ll know as soon as I know for sure the exact date.” Though work is still going on with Diablo III, it appears that at this point it’s less about the big, sweeping problems, and more about the little bugs and glitch details that need to get worked out. Hopefully, we’ll be returning to the world of Sanctuary here soon enough!
