More Battlefield 3 Premium Service Details Leaked

Earlier this week, we reported on a rumor about how Battlefield 3 was going to have a Premium service. It looks like that rumor was true, as a fact sheet has leaked out of Germany that contains the details of what’s going on with the Premium service. No date has been listed that shows when the service will first start, however EA has said that if you’re interested in the service to check out Battlefield.com on June 4th. That’s when they’ll probably officially announce the service, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they started offering it immediately.

The Premium service will net you all 5 of the expansion packs for Battlefield 3, and for all the future expansions you’ll be able to play them 2 weeks early. All combined, the expansion packs will contain 20 new maps, 20 new weapons, 10+ new vehicles, 4 new game modes, 30+ Assignments, and 20+ dog tags. You’ll also get unique in-game items, including different camos, Premium dog tags, and a unique knife.

The benefits don’t stop there, either. You’ll also be given the ability to reset your Score/Minute, Kill/Death, and Win/Loss stats if you want to. While that’s kinda cool, this next benefit would kinda irk me a bit if I were somebody who didn’t shell out money for the Premium service. You see, if you have the Premium service you’ll be given priority in queues to access servers. This sort of tiered service always smacks of greed to me, considering how it’s not the focus of the service I can’t really complain too much about it.
