Otakon Releasing Its Own Beat Em Up Game!

Otakon, one of the largest anime conventions in the United States, announced earlier in August that it would be releasing its own beat ’em up game in the vein of Final Fight and Turtles in Time.  The game aims to be the first of its kind, as no other convention has endeavored to make a game on this scale, and is currently running a kickstarter in an attempt to involve its own attendees more in the development of the game.

Crisis Heart Brawlers features popular anime voice talent such as Johnny Yong Bosch, Kyle Hebert, Cristina Vee, and features Martin “LittleKuriboh” Billany as a writer.  The project is being produced by StudioNasu.

The Kickstarter page for Crisis Heart Brawlers can be found below.  Fans who donate just $25 to help the project get funded are allowed exclusive access to developer forums, as well as get access to fan forums for the game where developers look at possible ideas presented by the fans.  Perks for higher donations include an invitation to an exclusive at-con party for backers, being featured in the background as a convention-goer, disk versions of the game, the soundtrack, or even being an “Assist Striker” in the game!

Be sure to check it out and throw a few bucks its way!
